Fascinated by the galaxy and space? Come see Columbia University Professor, Mary Putman, as she answers questions like “How does a galaxy form?” and “What is gaseous cosmic rain?” Mary has been in the Astronomy Department at Columbia since 2008. She was previously faculty at the University of Michigan and a Hubble Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Colorado. She is frequently invited to give talks and write articles in her field of galaxy evolution.
