How does Felicity House Work? Felicity House is a place just for women with autism. We know there’s no such thing as “one size fits all,” so we do our best to tailor our program menu to fit the needs of each individual woman. We support and guide you to use the resources at Felicity House in a way that best meets your needs. Felicity House will always be completely free of charge.
Staff contact Every woman who engages with Felicity House is assigned a single staff person; your staff contact. Having a staff contact means you know who to call or email with questions, and have a friendly face you can look for at workshops or events. Staff contacts help you through your discovery phase, and are great resources for understanding how you can best enjoy all the programs and resources Felicity House has to offer. Your staff contact can even make recommendations and referrals to resources and opportunities outside of Felicity House, and troubleshoot with you as issues come up.
Discovery Phase Getting to know you! No two women are the same, and we want to get to know you as well as we can, so we can help you get the most out of your time here. The discovery phase helps us identify opportunities and programing at Felicity House that will interest and excite you. How do we do this? During the discovery phase, you’ll meet with your staff contact to talk about your likes and dislikes, your talents and challenges. You’ll also get a private tour of Felicity House, and have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you’d like.
Your Plan Once the discovery phase is complete, together we’ll create a Felicity House access plan that makes the most sense for you. Your plan may change over time (just like people may change over time!)

Felicity House offers hands-on workshops and lectures on different topics with guest presenters. The topics range from cooking to comic books to experiences like creating art, working out our bodies, practicing mindfulness, discovering science, discussing books and more. There’s no pressure to talk or socialize, your level of participation is up to you, but these workshops and lectures are a great way to meet people while engaging in an activity. While the topics are different, the workshops are structured the same way each time, so you know what to expect. RSVP to workshops is required.
Community leadership meeting. All women at Felicity House are invited to attend to add their perspective to our organization.
Felicity House is for women with autism-of course! But what about their friends, family members and significant others? What about the professionals they work with in other areas of their lives, like teachers and mentors? A few times a year, Felicity House offers Open Door events open to anyone and everyone interested in our programing and mission. RSVP is required.
Circles are closed, social meetings organized by staff contacts. Their purpose is to cultivate richer interactions for participants of Felicity House. In this setting, participants have the opportunity to meet other women and socialize over a shared activity.
Designated “open hours” are opportunities to use the lounge, art studio, and other public spaces in Felicity House. All women are required to RSVP to Open Hours.
