Felicity House
Barbara received her law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1984. She has over 20 years of experience practicing law with a specialty in trusts and estates, practicing at Shea & Gould, Kronish Lieb and, most recently, as a partner at Duane Morris. For over 18 years Barbara also served as an adjunct professor of law on the faculty of St. John’s University School of Law where she taught courses in Estate Planning, Drafting Wills and Trust Instruments and Estate and Gift Tax. She is fully engaged in numerous charitable and philanthropic activities, primarily in Long Island where she lives with her husband, Mark Silber, and her three sons. Currently, she serves on the boards of Elder Hearts and Lev Leytzan, organizations pioneering the use of therapeutic clowning for Alzheimer’s patients as well as cancer-stricken children in hospitals, respectively.
