Prior to joining Felicity House, Marisela was an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College. She holds a B.S. from the University of Illinois and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. She brings over ten years of experience working with adults on the autism spectrum. Her clinical training includes fellowships at the University of Michigan Autism and Communication Disorder Clinic and the Institute for Juvenile Research at the University of Illinois-Chicago. Before officially joining Felicity House in 2015, Marisela played a critical role in the creation of the first pilot group of adult women with autism that later helped shaped many of the current programs at Felicity House.
Marisela is happiest during football season when she can root for her Big Ten teams. She loves to visit Chicago, her hometown, and enjoys curling up with a good book.
