During the COVID-19 emergency Felicity House is not able to be open for regular, in-person programming. We will be closed at least until April 20th. We will be in touch with any updates on when we can expect to re-open.
While we can’t be together, we can still stay in touch and enjoy a bit of fun and relaxation!
This new section of our website will be updated regularly with videos, suggestions of things to do, and ways our community can keep connected during this tough time.
Be sure to stay in touch with your staff contact, and look for our new weekly community email for more ways to stay in touch and engaged.
Join professional Poet and Spoken Word Artist, Joanna Hoffman as she discusses her journey into poetry while also giving tips for how to be a great storyteller.
When Music Videos Ruled the World
In this prerecorded lecture, Stephen Pitalo, tracks the evolution of the music video. He discusses music video’s major stars, musical taste shifts, and the ways this art form revolutionized the music scene worldwide. From the earliest performance clips to multimillion dollar productions, Stephen examines the rise and fall of music videos through the 1980s and 1990s.
Hear a lecture from Stefanie Lewin, a New York City-based artist and art educator. Discover the history of feminist art, it’s origins and predecessors, and contemporary interpretations. The lecture will cover famous art works such as Judy Chicago’s “The Dinner Party,” Martha Rosler’s “Semiotics of the Kitchen” and lots of other notable female artists from the 60s, 70s and 80s.
